We rescued Cinnamon in June 2025, and for nearly a year, she was in our care, healing from a past no dog should ever endure. Her previous owner had cruelly poured acid on her back, leaving her with severe chemical burns, a horrific act of cruelty. Those scars would remain for life, a permanent mark of the suffering she survived.

But she was safe with us, and time after time, she waited at the ranch for her forever person, hoping one day someone would see past her scars and recognize how incredible she truly was. Many overlooked her because of the marks she carried.

Yet Cinnamon never lost her sweet nature. She easily became a staff favorite, earning the love of every employee and volunteer here. Her story even reached beyond the Ranch, as she made her TV debut on WPBF 25 alongside one of our volunteers, giving the public a glimpse of her spirit. But even this exposure wasn't enough to find her a forever home.

Days and days she waited, until finally, she met her forever person, someone who saw her strength, her sweetness, and her unbreakable spirit. Cinnamon was given the gift she had been hoping for her entire life: a forever home where she is cherished and celebrated for who she is, not defined by her past.

Our team couldn’t be happier for Cinnamon. After 281 days, she’s finally home. She enters a new chapter with her loving family who doesn’t see her for her scars, but for the brave, beautiful dog she truly is.
